Estefania recently became a cook for EIABP’s Bolivia program, replacing her daughter, who recently stepped down from her position as a program cook to pursue formal cooking education. Estefania is from a small town in the region of Potosí in Bolivia but has lived in Cochabamba since she turned 18 years old, when she moved to the city knowing no Spanish to become a cook. She is well-versed in traditional Bolivian cuisine due to her extensive work experience as a cook. She enjoys nature and spends her free time tending to her garden and pets. On site you will find her washing dishes alongside community women and befriending local dogs.
