FUN FACTS
Expert New York Times crossword puzzler
Conversationally fluent in Siswati
Wannabe French pastry chef
Brittany graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. Committed to community-driven construction and international development, she has worked as a construction intern for Habitat for Humanity, as a non-profit community consultant in Nebaj, Guatemala, and as part of Engineering2Empower, a student research group at Notre Dame studying earthquake-resilient housing in Léogâne, Haiti.
She has worked with EIA since 2016, first as a student and later as staff. She was so sold on the impact of EIA projects and on the potential of the EIA bridge builder community that immediately after graduation, she accepted a position with EIA and, three weeks after returning home from a bridge build in Bolivia, she flew to the Kingdom of Eswatini. She spent four amazing years as the EIA Eswatini Bridge Program Manager, working alongside local emaSwati engineering staff to build bridges and increase rural access to safe infrastructure
In 2024, Brittany rejoined the EIA team in the USA to work as the Bridge Program Director. She believes passionately in the opportunity that infrastructure projects can create if done with dedication to sustainability and empowerment. She hopes to build upon the amazing foundations already laid at the EIA Bridge Program to continue to grow and empower global changemakers and provide life-changing access to our partnering communities.
In her free time, Brittany enjoys acrylic painting, binge-reading fantasy novels, hiking, drinking too much coffee, baking French pastries, and studying siSwati and Spanish.
